The Brief

Sugar Camp is a summer beach sports camp, that wanted to establish a brand with an emphasis on the active summer environment present at the camp. The name "Sugar Camp" stemmed from the song "The Archies - Sugar, Sugar a David Kust Candy Remix" - a song encapsulating how the brand wanted people to feel about it.

It was important to showcase the beach environment with the branding, to entice the audience in seeing the camp as a holiday as well as a sports camp.

Solution

Using summer-coloured angular shapes with a combination of sport-focused visuals, I focused on the viewer's eyes constantly being in motion - to make them feel the camp's energy.

The Mistakes

The colours and the feeling of movement turned out great, however there wasn't much depth behind it. The name "Sugar Camp" could have had a lot more importance in the branding, yet in it's current state is very replaceable ("Beach Camp", "Summer Camp" and etc.) and the branding ends up simplistic.
